Yanio Perez joins the Saltdogs for his second season in Lincoln. Perez was a staple in the ‘Dogs lineup during the second half of 2021, hitting .289 with seven homers and 36 RBIs in 58 games. Perez was signed by the Texas Rangers ahead of 2017 and reached as high as Double-A in the Rangers system. Perez’s professional career began in 2013 when he played the first of two seasons with Artemisa in the Cuban National Series. A native from La Habana, Cuba, Perez played with Sussex County of the Frontier League last year before re-signing with Lincoln for 2023.
