OCONOMOWOC, Wisconsin – C Luke Roskam went 2-for-2 with two doubles and two walks to tie the league high with a 39-game on-base streak, but the ‘Dogs were shut out 5-0 by the Lake Country DockHounds in a rubber match at Wisconsin Brewing Company Park on Sunday afternoon.

Roskam’s on-base streak began on June 13th and matches Josh Allen for the longest in the league this season and is the longest for a ‘Dog since Jorge Cortes had a 39-game streak in 2011.

Lake Country (37-37) scored first on a leadoff homer from RF Steven Sensley in the 2nd, while CF Thomas Jones hit a leadoff homer to make it 2-0 in the 3rd.

The DockHounds extended the lead on a two-run homer from 1B Curtis Terry – his second of the series – in the 4th inning.

RHP Josh Roeder allowed four runs on six hits over five innings and lost his fourth consecutive start.

The DockHounds made it 5-0 in the 6th inning. LF Marek Chlup hit a double into the left-center field gap, scoring DH Marcus Chiu from first after a misplay from CF Nick Anderson.

RF Connor Panas reached all four times with two hits and two walks for Lincoln (37-37), but the ‘Dogs were shut out the game following a shutout of their own for the first time since July 2015.

RHP Walter Borkovich allowed one run in the 6th, LHP David Zoz tossed a scoreless 7th and RHP Nic Laio pitched a scoreless 8th.

DH Yanio Perez went 0-for-4, snapping his season-best 12-game hitting streak.

The ‘Dogs now continue a six-game, two-city road trip after a day off Monday. Lincoln will travel to Winnipeg, MB and begin a three-game series at Shaw Park on Tuesday night. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. and pregame coverage begins at 6:05 on KFOR FM 101.5/1240 AM.
