SIOUX CITY, IA – The Saltdogs opened up the scoring but it was all Sioux City as Lincoln dropped their second game of the year 9-1.

RHP Jack Parisi made his Saltdogs (3-2) debut tossing 5.0 innings surrendering just one hit, one run that was not earned, two walks, and struck out two batters.

OF Aaron Takacs kept swinging a hot bat as he knocked in an RBI single for the third consecutive game, it would be the ‘Dogs only run of the game.

Sioux City would respond to Lincoln’s lone run in the bottom half of the fourth inning and wouldn’t look back.  They scored three times in the sixth and four times in the seventh to blow the game open.

C Marshall Awtry would come in to pitch for the first time in his Saltdogs career in the bottom of the eight and allow a solo home run to Delvin Zinn and that would do it for the scoring.

The Saltdogs’ three-game win streak ends as they get ready for a rubber match with the Explorers on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. to wrap up a six-game road trip.  Sioux City picks up their first win of the season.
