SIOUX CITY, IA – The Saltdogs scored six times in the top of the sixth inning to take a commanding lead and never looked back for their third straight win.

INF Drew Devine reached three times including a three-run single in the sixth to lift the Saltdogs offensively.

C Marshall Awtry also made his mark on the game walking four times, bringing in a run, scoring a run, and getting hit by a pitch.  The Saltdogs have now had players walk four times in back-to-back games with Devine doing it on Sunday against the RedHawks.

OF Nick Anderson reached base for the first time tonight drawing two walks and driving in his second RBI of the season with a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning.

RHP Karan Patel made his Saltdogs debut on the bump going 5.0 innings giving up four hits, one run that was not earned, two walks, and struck out three batters.

RHP Brandon McCabe picked up his first save as a Saltdog coming in during the eighth inning and closing the door in the ninth.

The Saltdogs have now been trailing after the first inning in three of the four games so far this season and have won two of them.  The lone loss came on opening night when the RedHawks walked off Lincoln 4-3.

The ‘Dogs also continue their success against the Sioux City Explorers after going 10-3 against the club in 2023, posting a 5-2 record on the road against their West Division rivals.
