For the 15th time in as many years, Haymarket Park – the home of the Saltdogs – was selected ‘Best Playing Field’ in the American Association, as voted by league managers and media.

For the second straight night, the Saltdogs came within 10 feet of a walk-off homer as the Joplin Blasters held on for a 6-3 win in front of 4,242 fans at Haymarket Park Friday night.
Shairon Martis fanned 11 but the Joplin Blasters got by the Saltdogs 4-2 in front of 2,852 fans at Haymarket Park Thursday night.
Casey Collins was brilliant, and the bats were explosive as the Saltdogs trounced the Joplin Blasters 8-1 in front of 2,544 fans at Haymarket Park Tuesday night.
After squandering a four-run lead, the Saltdogs patience paid off in the eighth as they edged the Sioux Falls Canaries 5-4 in front of 5,755 fans at Haymarket Park Sunday evening.
