LINCOLN — The Joplin Blasters (52-43) clubbed four home runs to come back and beat the Saltdogs (34-61) 7-4 in front of 5,302 fans on LPS 5th Graders Day at Haymarket Park Wednesday afternoon.
Jairo Perez hit two solo home runs, and Jesus Solarzano capped off a four-run sixth with a two-run shot to give Joplin a 5-4 lead.
Josh Evans (3-1) allowed three earned in 5 2/3 innings to pick up the win. Jesse Smith (3-9) yielded five runs on nine hits in six innings to suffer the loss.
Mike Gilmartin and Tucker White each had two hits and Eddie Young drove in two in the losing effort.
Mason Morioka raked a solo homer in the ninth. The four home runs allowed by Lincoln is a season high.
