The Wichita Wingnuts capitalized on a pair of ninth-inning walks to beat the Saltdogs 3-2 in walk-off fashion in front of 3,582 fans at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium Saturday night.

The Saltdogs came back in the ninth inning to beat the Wichita Wingnuts 4-3 in front of 3,863 fans at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium Friday night.

Shairon Martis delivered five sturdy frames and the Saltdogs racked up 13 hits in a 6-1 victory over the Wichita Wingnuts on Opening Night. 3,726 fans took in Thursday's contest at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

Before each Saltdogs home game, youth baseball or softball players get to run out on the field with the Saltdogs players during the introduction of the starting lineup, and get an autographed baseball from a Saltdogs player! 

The Saltdogs finished exhibition play with a 4-1 record, and have their 23-man roster set for Thursday night's season opener in Wichita.

Chase Harris homered, and Lincoln pitching carried a shutout into the eighth inning as the Saltdogs downed the Sioux City Explorers 6-2 in an exhibition game in Seward Thursday night.

Six pitchers combined to throw a two-hit shutout, and former Husker Pat Kelly whacked a two-run double late as the Saltdogs blanked the Kansas City T-Bones 2-0 in their exhibition opener at Haymarket Park Tuesday night.

The Saltdogs start exhibition play May 10 against the Kansas City T-Bones at Haymarket Park. Gates open at 5 p.m. and admission is free to all.

Former Saltdogs right-hander Tim Adleman (2012) made his Major League Baseball debut May 1, allowing just two runs while striking out six in six innings at Pittsburgh's PNC Park.
