CLEBURNE, TX – The Lincoln Saltdogs announced today that they activated right handed pitcher Seth Webster from the Disabled List.  The Saltdogs released RHP Nigel Nootbaar yesterday.

Webster was placed on the DL on July 27th after hurting his shoulder during his start on July 21st.  He pitched just one inning and allowed two runs on four hits in that start.

The right-hander is 4-4 with a 3.37 ERA over 12 starts in 2017.  He leads the Saltdogs in quality starts with eight.  He has lasted at least six innings in every start except the one he got hurt in and hasn’t allowed more than four runs in a game.

Webster has pitched in parts of four seasons with the Schaumburg Boomers of the Frontier League and spent one year in the Braves organization.  He is notable for his delivery, which dips to sidearm or lower on most of his pitches.

Nootbaar was 0-1 with a 12.00 ERA in two appearances for the Saltdogs.  The righty tossed three relief innings for the Saltdogs.

Webster takes the mound for the Saltdogs tonight against the Cleburne Railroaders.  First pitch is at 7:06 PM with coverage beginning at 6:35 PM on ESPN 1480 and saltdogs.com.

The Saltdogs return home on Monday, August 21st to face the Gary SouthShore RailCats.  Tickets are on sale and can be purchased by calling (402) 474-2255 or visiting Saltdogs.com.  For the latest information on the Saltdogs follow the team on Facebook and Twitter/Instagram @saltdogsball.
