The Lincoln Saltdogs have re-signed C Luke Roskam, the club has announced.
Roskam returns for his third season in Lincoln after a stand-out career at the University of Nebraska.
The 26-year-old Minnesota native appeared in 84 games last year, hitting .294 with 14 homers and 62 RBIs. Roskam also put together a 45-game on-base streak, the longest in the league and longest for the ‘Dogs since at least 2009.
Roskam debuted with Lincoln in 2022, hitting .244 with a 1.094 OPS in 18 games after he appeared in seven games with the ACL Mariners earlier that summer.
He began his pro career with Grand Junction of the Pioneer League in 2021, hitting .339 with a 1.028 OPS in 69 games.
During five seasons at Nebraska, Roskam hit .266 with 22 homers and 144 RBIs in 200 games, winning a Big Ten title in 2021.
The ‘Dogs open the season at Fargo-Moorhead on Friday, May 10th. Lincoln’s home opener is Thursday, May 16th against the Cleburne Railroaders.
