WICHITA, KS – Significant rain throughout the day led to unplayable field conditions for the scheduled game between the Lincoln Saltdogs and Wichita Wingnuts on Tuesday night at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.
The Saltdogs and Wingnuts will play two seven-inning games on Wednesday. First pitch for game one will be at 5:00 PM and the second game will begin immediately after the conclusion of the first one.
Rain during the daytime hours saturated the pitcher’s mound and made it unsuitable for play.
This is the fourth time this season rain has forced the Saltdogs to play a doubleheader. The team is 4-2 in doubleheader games in 2018.
