LINCOLN — Ian Gac homered for the third straight game, Marquis Fleming won his third straight start and Marshall Schuler booked his third straight save as the Saltdogs (32-30) topped the Amarillo Sox (20-32) 6-4 in front of 3,124 fans at Haymarket Park Wednesday night.
 
Amarillo scored four runs in the top of the fifth, including three with two out, to take a 4-1 lead.
 
Lincoln quickly responded with five runs of their own in the fifth, using a Brian Joynt two-run single and a Gac three-run bomb to center, his 15th.
 
Trey Barham and Jhonny Montoya pitched two scoreless innings of middle relief to bridge the victorious Fleming (7-3) to closer Schuler, who now has 21 saves.
 
Matt Larkins (5-4) tossed five innings, allowing six runs on nine hits to suffer the loss.
 
Chad Mozingo belted a solo homer in the third, his fourth, to give Lincoln a 1-0 lead.
 
The Saltdogs have now won three straight and are two games above .500 for the first time this season.
 
Lincoln goes for the series sweep Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. RHP Justin Kuks (4-2, 5.74) will take on RHP Derek Blacksher (1-7, 6.01). Radio coverage begins at 6:35 p.m. on KFOR 1240.
