The Winnipeg Goldeyes walked off to take the opening game of the series and utilized a complete game gem from Edwin Carl to take two from the Saltdogs in front of 4,211 fans at Shaw Park Sunday afternoon.
For the second straight night, the Saltdogs came within 10 feet of a walk-off homer as the Joplin Blasters held on for a 6-3 win in front of 4,242 fans at Haymarket Park Friday night.
Shairon Martis fanned 11 but the Joplin Blasters got by the Saltdogs 4-2 in front of 2,852 fans at Haymarket Park Thursday night.
Casey Collins was brilliant, and the bats were explosive as the Saltdogs trounced the Joplin Blasters 8-1 in front of 2,544 fans at Haymarket Park Tuesday night.
