Bryan Pounds hit three home runs against his former club to lead the Sioux City Explorers (7-7) over Dennis Raben and the Saltdogs (7-7) 6-4 in front of 2,251 fans at Lewis and Clark Park. 

The rubber match between the Saltdogs and the El Paso Diablos Wednesday night has been postponed due to rain. A double header is scheduled between the clubs June 28 at 5:05 p.m. at Haymarket Park.

The Saltdogs split a couple decisions with the El Paso Diablos Tuesday night at Haymarket Park, winning the resumed game from Monday 4-3 while dropping the seven-inning nightcap 7-6.

Monday night's suspended game between the Saltdogs and El Paso Diablos will continue from the bottom of the fourth, with the 'Dogs trailing 1-0, at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday.  Then a seven-inning game will follow.

For the second straight week, a Saltdogs slugger has been selected as American Association hitter of the week as 1B/DH Ian Gac earns the honors for the week ending May 26.

The Saltdogs offense went bonkers early, Joe Bisenius turned in a strong outing as Lincoln trounced the Winnipeg Goldeyes 11-2 in front of 2,183 fans at Haymarket Park Sunday afternoon.

Matt Bywater was magnificent and Ian Gac launched what proved to be the game-winning home run as the Saltdogs beat the Winnipeg Goldeyes 4-1 in front of 5,120 fans at Haymarket Park Saturday night.

Justin Garcia fanned 12 hitters in 6 1/3 innings as the Winnipeg Goldeyes stymied the Saltdogs 5-1 in front of 3,310 fans at Haymarket Park Friday night.

Pete Parise turned in a quality outing, Stephen Douglas had a big night at the plate, and the Saltdogs played strong defense in a 6-3 victory over the Kansas City T-Bones in front of 3,948 fans at CommunityAmerica Ballpark Wednesday night.
