The Saltdogs offense erupted late, overcoming a seven-run deficit to edge the St. Paul Saints 15-14 in 10 innings on a sweltering Independence Day afternoon at Midway Stadium.

The St. Paul Saints overcame a five-run deficit and went on to trounce the Saltdogs 13-6 in front of 7,163 fans at Midway Stadium Tuesday night.

John Alonso came within feet of a game-tying home run in the bottom of the 10th, but Spiker Helms made a great grab against the fence to preserve a 3-1 Kansas City T-Bones victory in front of 4,366 fans at Haymarket Park Monday night.

Kansas City scored early and often to rout the Saltdogs 11-2 at Haymarket Park Sunday afternoon, matching Lincoln's largest loss of the season.
