LINCOLN — Saltdogs rookie right-hander Brandon Sinnery was named a Top-10 prospect in the Independent ranks by Baseball America.

The University of Michigan product went 5-1 with a 2.62 ERA for Lincoln in seven starts after being acquired from the London Rippers (Frontier League) in 2012.

Sinnery, 22, produced his most impressive moments down the stretch. He spun consecutive shutouts in August, including a two-hitter with eight strikeouts at the Newark Bears.

The Saltdogs hurler rounded out the top 10 of Baseball America‘s annual rankings. Two other American Association ballplayers cracked the list as well: Buddy Sosnoskie, Fargo-Moorhead at No. 7; Robert Coe, St. Paul at No. 8.

Abilene (North American) left-hander Kevin Gelinas topped the list.
