LINCOLN — After 13-plus years with the organization, Saltdogs Vice President/General Manager Tim Utrup is leaving Lincoln to become general manager for NC State's Wolfpack Sports Properties.

Utrup has been instrumental for the Saltdogs franchise since its inaugural season in 2001, highlighted by helping the club win the 2009 American Association championship.

The 22-year front office veteran has done a tremendous job for the Saltdogs, earning three Northern League/American Association "Executive of the Year" awards.

"The Lincoln Saltdogs wish Tim and his family well as he takes on the next phase of his professional career," Saltdogs President Charlie Meyer said.

The Saltdogs will soon be starting a national search and are confident that there will be great interest in this position. In the interim, Meyer will assume the general manager duties.
