SALTDOGS AND RAILCATS RAINED OUT ON SATURDAY, DOUBLEHEADER ON SUNDAY

LINCOLN, NE — The Lincoln Saltdogs and Gary SouthShore RailCats game scheduled for Saturday night is postponed due to rain.  The teams will play two seven-inning games on Sunday starting at 1:05 PM.

Tickets for Saturday’s game can be used for admission to either game on Sunday.  The tickets can be exchanged at the Haymarket Park Box Office for a similar ticket to any other 2018 home game.

Jimmy Buffett tribute band Tom Watt and the Fruitcakes will play a show before Sunday’s game to make up for the cancellation of their postgame show on Saturday.  Gates open at noon on Sunday.

The Saltdogs (23-17) beat the RailCats (21-18) 8-2 in the series opener.

This is third postponed game of the season for the Saltdogs.  The Saltdogs and St. Paul Saints were postponed on June 19th and played a doubleheader the following day.  The Saltdogs and Winnipeg Goldeyes were postponed in Canada on May 30th and played a doubleheader the next day.  The Saltdogs are 3-1 in doubleheader games this season.  The Saltdogs also experienced a rain-shortened game in Sioux Falls on June 1st.  The game was called in the 7th inning and the Saltdogs lost 10-7.

First pitch on Sunday is at 1:05 PM with coverage beginning at 12:35 PM on ESPN 101.5 FM 1480 AM and Saltdogs.com/stream.
