Josh Roeder is pitching his first season in the American Association after spending five seasons in the Yankees and Marlins organizations from 2015-2019, and one season with Southern Maryland of the Atlantic League in 2021. A familiar name at Haymarket Park, Roeder pitched three seasons for the University of Nebraska from 2013-2015, going 4-5 with a 2.53 ERA in 63 career college relief outings. Roeder owns a career 11-14 record with a 3.49 ERA in 98 affiliated appearances, and he reached as high as Triple-A New Orleans in 2019. Roeder remains Nebraska’s career saves leader with 33 and he was named Third-Team All-Big Ten in 2015. Roeder was selected by the Yankees in the 21st round of the 2015 MLB Draft. Roeder joins Jake Hohensee (13 saves, T-6th all-time) as a Saltdog reliever who ranks among the all-time saves leaders in Nebraska program history.
