KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Two errors and 12 stranded runners spoiled a splendid debut from Marquis Fleming as the Kansas City T-Bones (2-1) topped the Saltdogs (1-2) 6-2 in front of 5,126 fans at CommunityAmerica Ballpark Saturday night.
 
The T-Bones capitalized on an error to score two unearned runs in the second and added two more in similar fashion in the fourth.
 
Leading 4-2 after six, Kansas City added runs in the seventh and eighth to take the ensure the victory in the season-opening series.
 
Pat Doyle (1-0) pitched five innings, allowing just one earned run while striking out two and walking zero to earn the win.
 
Fleming (0-1) lasted six innings, surrendered four unearned runs on four hits to suffer the loss.
 
The Saltdogs outhit the T-Bones 11-6. Trailing 4-2 in the top of the seventh they had the bases loaded with no outs but Kansas City reliever Zach Fowler turned a terrific double play on a line-drive come backer to quell the 'Dogs rally.
 
Maikol Gonzalez led the way offensively for Lincoln, going 3-for-5 with a double, RBI, run and stolen base.
