GARY, Ind. — The Saltdogs (16-20) were nearly no-hit in the resumed middle game of the weekend set against the RailCats (20-15) but bounced back nicely to book a 4-3 victory in front of 3,911 fans at U.S. Steel Yard Sunday evening.

Joe Bisenius (2-2) pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing just one earned run on three hits, striking out seven and walking two to earn the win. Marshall Schuler spun a scoreless final frame for his 10th save.

Chad Mozingo began a two-out rally in the top of the third with a triple to right. After Luis Nunez singled him in, Matt Forgatch launched a two-run shot to left to give the 'Dogs the 3-0 lead.

Omar Luna, playing in his first game in a Saltdogs uniform, belted a solo shot in the fourth to extend the lead to 4-1, which proved to be the difference.

Morgan Coombs (3-3) allowed four runs on six hits in six innings to absorb the loss.

In the rain-suspended game, continued from Saturday night, it took the 'Dogs until two outs in the top of the ninth to record their first hit.
