Fueled by a seven-run fourth inning, the Saltdogs topped Gary SouthShore RailCats 8-6 to complete a four-game sweep in front of 3,525 fans at U.S. Steel Yard Wednesday night.
The Saltdogs took two decisions from the Gary SouthShore RailCats Tuesday night at U.S. Steel Yard, and are now just one game back - in the loss column - of the Central division lead with 27 games to play.
The Saltdogs (36-35) and RailCats (41-32) game at U.S. Steel Yard Monday night was suspended due to rain in the middle of the 11th, with the score 7-7. The game will resume Tuesday night at 6:10 p.m. in the bottom of the 11th, with the regularly-scheduled nine-inning game to follow.
