WINNIPEG, Man. — The Saltdogs (6-9) rallied for four runs in the top of the ninth to take the lead but Reggie Abercrombie blasted a two-run, walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth to give the Winnipeg Goldeyes (10-5) a 5-4 win in front of 4,896 fans at Shaw Park Friday night.

Abercrombie's game-winning home run was his second long ball in as many days against Lincoln, and overpowered the Saltdogs' impressive four-run onslaught in the top of the ninth.

Trailing 3-0 after eight, Trevor Martin and Brian Joynt began the ninth with consecutive singles against Winnipeg closer Chris Kissock. Ian Gac then lined a two-run double down the right field line to make it 3-2.

Gac would score after a Kevin Howard single and an error, and three batters later Chris Anderson dropped a single in to right to give Lincoln the short-lived 4-3 lead.

Nick Green pitched eight impressive innings, allowing three runs on eight hits for the Saltdogs. Chris Salamida spun eight shutout frames, giving up just three hits as neither start factored into the decision.

Kyle Bellamy (1-0) pitched 1/3 of an inning to snatch the victory. Marshall Schuler (0-2) allowed the two-run homer to suffer the loss.

Joynt finished the game 3-for-4 with a run scored. The 'Dogs are now 0-5 against the Fish in 2014.
