WINNIPEG, Man. — The Winnipeg Goldeyes (10-7) rallied for three runs in the ninth to walk off and beat the Saltdogs (9-8) 6-5 in front of 4,254 fans at Shaw Park Sunday afternoon.
Following a Casio Grider lead-off homer, a pair of two-out hits and a balk, Maikol Gonzalez lined the series-winning single to left field.
Jailen Peguero (2-1) pitched 1/3 of an inning and picked up the win. Jeff McKenzie (0-2) allowed three runs on four hits in 2/3 of an inning to take the loss.
Rene Leveret homered to lead off the seventh inning, his third long ball of the year.
After falling behind 1-0, Lincoln plated two unearned runs in the sixth.
Leveret’s blast reclaimed the lead for Lincoln at 3-2, and the lead grew to 5-2 on a pair of RBI hits from Christian Ibarra and Luis Alen in the eighth.
