Former Saltdogs infielder Vance Albitz has helped send nearly 2,500 baseballs and gloves to American troops around the world. You still have time (until early February) to help bring America's pastime to the men and women serving our country.

Albitz played for the Saltdogs in 2010 and 2011 before signing with the St. Louis Cardinals organization. The 25-year old from Southern California has split his time between the Double-A and Triple-A level with the Cards over the last two seasons.

Albitz's non-profit organization has been featured by media outlets including ESPN, Yahoo! Sports, saltdogs.com and most recently was highlighted on the CBS program "Game Changers" (video below):
