LINCOLN — The reigning A.A. Central Division Champion Saltdogs are pleased to announce their 2015 game schedule for their 15th season at Haymarket Park, which gets underway May 22 at Kansas City and opens at Haymarket Park May 25 against the Gary SouthShore RailCats.
New for 2015, a vast majority of the Monday-through-Thursday home games will begin at 6:35 p.m. The standard Friday first pitch time remains at 7:05 p.m. and Saturdays start at 6:05 p.m.
“We are extremely excited about the 15th season of Saltdogs baseball for our great fans in Lincoln,” club President/G.M. Charlie Meyer said. “We’ll be commemorating our 15th year all season long as we strive for another championship.”
Lincoln will host three weekday matinees at Haymarket Park: July 13 vs. Grand Prairie; August 3 vs. Amarillo; and September 2 (LPS Day) vs. Joplin.
For the opening home stand of 2015, Gary will be in Lincoln from May 25-28 before last year’s runners-up venture for an early-season Texas swing through Amarillo and Laredo.
2015’s home slate at Haymarket Park features nine Friday night games, and figures to be another fun-packed summer for the entire family.
The 100-game American Association regular season will see the Saltdogs battle the expansion Joplin (Mo.) Blasters 13 times, with the first series at Haymarket Park June 19-21.
The 2015 All-Star break takes place July 27-28, with announcement of the host city coming soon.
Lincoln is set to welcome a to be determined Can-Am league club in a three-game series August 14-16, as inter-league play returns for the fourth consecutive campaign.
The Saltdogs conclude the 2015 slate with a three-game series ending September 7 in Winnipeg, against a Goldeyes club whom the ‘Dogs defeated in the playoffs in 2014.
