LINCOLN, Neb. – The Lincoln Saltdogs have announced the promotional schedule spanning the club’s 50-game home schedule for 2019.
For another year, the season will feature many special promotions and giveaways, and will include many discount nights, Fireworks nights and nights centering around family fun.
“We’re pursuing new acts and fresh ideas this season,” Director of Promotions Alex Hanus said. “Fans should keep their heads on a swivel so they don’t miss any of the action.”
For the first time ever, the ‘Dogs will host ‘Dogstock’ on the 50th anniversary of the world-famous Woodstock music festival on Aug. 16. This night will feature a special tie-dye jersey giveaway and plenty of music from 50 years ago.
The ‘Dogs will also host a Jimmy Buffett night, including a Buffett jersey giveaway and performance from Zach Watt and the Fruitcakes — the No. 1 Jimmy Buffett tribute band — on July 6th. Tyler Scheuer and Tyler’s Amazing Balancing Act will be featured on June 22.
For more community-oriented promotions, the ‘Dogs will host the annual Beerfest at Haymarket Park on August 3rd, and are pleased to announce the inclusion of Ribfest on August 17th.
Thirty Thursdays make a return in 2019, this time incorporating draft beer tastings and pizza specials, while Buck Nights are now every Saturday at the ballpark and will include $1 hot dogs, popcorn and sodas, and $2 select tall boys. There will be 10 different Firework Fridays, and Sunday is designed as family fun-day, incorporating various themes like Aladdin & Jasmine, Woody & Jessie and Spiderman. All Sunday games will start at 5:05 p.m. for 2019.
