SAINT PAUL, Minn. — The St. Paul Saints (20-10) swept a double header with the Saltdogs (13-19) at Midway Stadium Tuesday afternoon, winning by scores of 5-0 and 5-4 in front of 4,138 fans.
 
In game one, Anthony Claggett (4-1) dominated Lincoln's bats en route to a four-hit shutout, with seven strikeouts and two walks. 
 
St. Paul scored two runs in the first and three in the fifth of the seven-inning contest, highlighted by Evan Bigley's 3-for-3, two RBI day.
 
Joe Bisenius (1-2) pitched five innings, allowing five runs on nine hits to suffer the loss.
 
Chad Mozingo tied the second game at 2-2 in the fifth by launching a towering home run to right. The 'Dogs quickly followed with two more on three straight hits and a sacrifice fly.
 
With the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the sixth, Saints catcher Carlos Escobar slapped a 1-1 fastball to right, plating two runs to tie the game at 4-4.
 
The clubs remained tied heading into the last of the eighth until the Saltdogs committed a two-base throwing error to lead off the inning. The Saints ended the game three batters later when Sam Maus looped a single to left for his first professional hit, which doubled as a walk-off winner. 
 
Mike Mehlich (2-1) scooped up the win with a scoreless inning of relief. Jake Meiers (0-3) allowed the unearned run in 1/3 of an inning to take the loss.
 
With hits in each contests, Mozingo has now hit safely in 13 straight games.
 
The Saltdogs are now 3-1 in extra-inning games. Monday's scheduled series opener was postponed due to rain.
