Yusniel Diaz brings major league experience to the Saltdogs outfield. A 2016 non-drafted free agent, Diaz started in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization and saw time in “The Show” with the Baltimore Orioles in 2022. The 6’1”, 225-pound Diaz recently played in AAA for the Sacramento River Cats, of the San Francisco Giants organization. The right-handed hitting Diaz hit three home runs with five rbi’s in 20 games, last season.
2024: Played 20 games for the Sacramento River Cats (Triple-A San Francisco Giants, Sacramento, California) in the Pacific Coast League, where he batted .177 with three home runs and five runs batted in.
2023: Diaz played 94 games for the Tulsa Drillers (Double-A Los Angeles Dodgers, Tulsa, Oklahoma) in the Texas League, where he batted .278 with 16 home runs and 60 rbi’s.
2022: He started the season with the Norfolk Tides (Triple-A Baltimore Orioles, Norfolk, Virginia) in the International League, where he batted .251 with six home runs and 34 runs batted in, while playing 70 games. Diaz played five games for the Aberdeen IronBirds (High-A Baltimore Orioles, Aberdeen, Maryland) of the South Atlantic League, batting .286 with one home run and three runs batted in. Diaz played two games in the Florida Complex League with the Orioles, batting .200 with a double. He played one game with Major League Baseball’s Baltimore Orioles, of the American League. He had one at-bat with one strikeout.
2021: Diaz began the year with Norfolk, in the Triple-A East League. In 54 games, he batted .157 with four home runs and 16 runs batted in. Diaz played eleven games for the Bowie BaySox (Double-A Baltimore Orioles, Bowie, Maryland) in the Double-A Northeast League, batting .180 with one home run and six runs batted in. Diaz finished the season with the Mesa Solar Sox, in the Arizona Fall League, batting .222 in seven games, with one home run and nine runs batted in.

2018: He played in 59 games with the Tulsa Drillers, batting .314 with six home runs and 30 runs batted in. Diaz played 38 games for the Bowie BaySox, batting .239 with with five home runs and 15 runs batted in.
2017: Diaz played 31 games for the Tulsa Drillers, batting .333 with three home runs and 13 rbi’s. He played 83 games for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (High-A Los Angeles Dodgers, Rancho Cucamonga, California) of the California League, batting .278 with eight home runs and 39 runs batted in. Diaz spent 17 games with the Glendale Desert Dogs (Glendale, Arizona) in the Arizona Fall League, batting .303 with one home run and ten runs batted in.
2016: Played in 82 games with Rancho Cucamonga, batting .272 with eight home runs and 54 runs batted in. Diaz finished the season with the Dodgers in the Arizona Fall League, batting .143 with one home run and three runs batted in, over three games.
2014-15: Diaz played 65 games for Industriales de La Habana (La Habana, La Habana) in the Cuban National Series, batting .348 with three triples and 19 rbi’s, at the age of 17.
