Castillo begins his seventh season of professional baseball, and first with the Saltdogs.   A native of Higuey, Dominican Republic, Castillo has hit 66 home runs with 307 rbi’s in his career.  Reaching AAA with the Reno Aces of the Pacific Coast League at the beginning of last season, Castillo has also recorded 105 stolen bases throughout his playing time.

2024:   Began the season with the Reno Aces (Triple-A- Arizona Diamondbacks of the Pacific Coast League).  In two games, batted .286 with a single and a double.  Played in 49 games for the Amarillo Sod Poodles (Double-A-Arizona) in the Texas League, batting .206 with five home runs and 23 RBI’s.  Castillo played 61 games for the Hillsboro Hops (High-A- Arizona) in the Northwest League, batting .225 with six home runs and 36 runs batted in.  He also played five games for the Visalia Rawhide (Low-A- Arizona) in the California League, batting .304 with two home runs and nine RBI’s.

2023:   Played 98 games for the Amarillo Sod Poodles, batting .239 with 17 home runs and 63 RBI’s.  He also played 28 games for Vaqueros de Monteria in the Colombian Winter League, batting .165 with one home run and six RBI’s.

2022:   Castillo played 82 games for the Hillsboro Hops, batting .249 with eleven home runs and 29 runs batted in.  He also played two games for the Diamondbacks Black, in the Arizona Complex League, batting .333 with two hits in six at-bats.

2021:   Spent the entire season with the Visalia Rawhide (A- ARZ) in the Low-A West League.  He played 103 games, batting .230 with 21 home runs and 72 runs batted in.

2020:   Did Not Play

2019:   Played 45 games for the Diamondbacks in the Arizona League, batting .260 with one home run and 29 runs batted in.  He also played five games for the Missoula Osprey in the Pioneer League, batting .125 with one home run and two runs batted in.  He finished the year playing three games for Diamondbacks 2, in the Dominican Summer League, batting .364 with two doubles and six RBI’s.

2018:   Castillo played 60 games for Diamondbacks 1, in the Dominican Summer League, batting .208 with two home runs and 38 runs batted in.
