Matt Pita joins the Saltdogs for the 2024 season. Pita attended Virginia Military Institute for three years. During his time there, Pita recorded a career .359 batting average, 32 home runs and 116 RBIs in 150 games. The New York Yankees organization drafted Pita in the 12th round after his junior year. He spent six seasons with Yankee affiliated teams, reaching AAA for 67 games in 2021 and 2022.
