Bio Capsule:  Battle rejoins the Saltdogs for his second season.  The outfielder hit seven home runs and drove in 25 in 34 games with Lincoln, last season.  Battle played college ball at Old Dominion University where he batted .315 with 27 homers and 153 rbi’s in four-plus seasons.  Battle has played professionally in the New York Yankees organization, reaching AAA with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

2024: Played in 34 games for the Saltdogs. Battle batted .244 with seven home runs and 25 rbi’s. Battle began the year at Hudson Valley (South Atlantic League) with the Renegades, in Wappingers Falls, New York. Battle played in 21 games and hit .174 with one home run and five runs batted in.

2023: Battle began the season in Triple-A with the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (International League), in Scranton, Pennsylvania. In three games, Battle hit .250 with one stolen base. Battle joined Hudson Valley, later in the season and played in 15 games, batting .088 with one home run, and one rbi.

2022: Played in eight games for Hudson Valley, batting .321 with five rbi’s and four stolen bases. Battle played 43 games for the Tampa Tar-pons (Florida League), in Tampa, Florida. He hit .173 with two home runs and eleven runs batted in.

2021: Battle played in three games for Tampa, which was part of the Low-A Southeast League. He hit .222 with three rbi’s and a stolen base. Battle also played in 20 games for the Florida Coast League Yankees, bating .302 with three home runs and 15 rbi’s.

College:

2021: Battle wrapped up his collegiate career at Old Dominion University. In his final season, he hit .319 with 18 home runs and 61 rbi’s.

2020: Played in 16 games for Old Dominion, batting .383 with three home runs and 16 runs batted in. Battle played for the Peninsula Pilots in the College Summer Coastal Plain League, batting .395 with one home run and six rbi’s.

2019: Battle played in 37 games for Old Dominion, hitting .306 with two homers and 21 runs batted in. Played in 48 games for ODU, batting .272 with two home runs and 19 rbi’s.

2018: Played in 48 games for Old Dominion, hitting .272 with two home runs and 19 rbi’s.

2017: Battle played in 57 games for Old Dominion, batting .341 with two home runs and 36 runs batted in. In the summer, Battle played for the Charlottesville Tom Sox (Valley League), in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he played 33 games, batting .244 with one home run and 20 runs batted in.
