John Richy is entering his second season of independent professional baseball and seventh season of pro ball. Richy’s career in five seasons of affiliated baseball consisted of 78 appearances where he started 61 games. He made his indy ball debut in 2019 with Southern Maryland and High Point, both in the Atlantic League.

A former 3rd round pick of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2014 MLB Draft, Richy pitched collegiately at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and was part of a 2015 deal that sent him and Darnell Sweeney (former big leaguer and KC T-Bone in 2019, Winnipeg Goldeye in 2020) to Philadelphia in exchange for Chase Utley.
