A 5’11”, 205-pound switch-hitting infielder, Denning will begin his first season with Lincoln, in 2025.  A native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Denning played his college ball at Campbell University, in the Big South Conference.   With Campbell, Denning hit .319 with 24 home runs and 99 runs batted in through 116 games over three seasons for the Fighting Camels.

Denning comes to Lincoln from the Pioneer League, where he played for the Billings Mustangs the past two seasons.  In 2023 and 2024, Denning batted .329 with 25 home runs and 114 rbi’s, while playing 134 games for the Mustangs, and swiped 17 bases, while adding 24 doubles.

2024: Played 55 games for the Billings Mustangs (Billings, Montana) in the Independent, Pioneer League. Denning batted .319 with nine home runs and 49 runs batted in.

2023: Denning played in 79 games for Billings, batting .336 with 16 home runs and 65 runs batted in.

2022: Played 59 games for the Campbell Fighting Camels of the Big South Conference, batting .311 with 12 home runs and 56 rbi’s, earning First Team All-Conference Honors as a Designated Hitter. In the summer, Denning played 33 games for the Williamsport Crosscutters (Williamsport, Pennsylvania) in the MLB Draft League. He batted .270 with six home runs and 28 runs batted in. Denning also played 23 games for the Holly Springs Salamanders (Holly Springs, North Carolina) in the Coastal Plain League, batting .241 with two home runs and ten runs batted in.

2021: Denning played in 51 games for Campbell, batting .340 with eleven home runs and 42 runs batted in, earning First Team All-Conference Honors as an outfielder.

2020: Played in six games for Campbell, batting .200 with one home run and one rbi. In the summer, Denning played in 26 games for the Rochester Honkers (Rochester, Minnesota) in the Northwoods League, batting .235 with four doubles and 12 rbi’s.

2019: Spent the summer playing for the Port Angeles Lefties (Port Angeles, Washington) in the West Coast League, batting .303 with one home run and ten runs batted in.

2018: Played in 14 games, in the summer, for the Mat-Su Miners (Palmer, Alaska) in the Alaska League, batting .212 with one double and four rbi’s.
