LINCOLN — For the second time in three days, the Saltdogs (15-12) offense exploded, and Pete Parise went the distance in a 12-4 rout of the Kansas City T-Bones (12-15) in front of 3,556 fans at Haymarket Park Thursday night.

Five Lincoln men had two-hit nights and four drove in multiple runs in a 12-hit barrage, on the heels of a 13 run, 20 hit effort Tuesday.

Omaha native Tyler Goodro led the way offensively, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI. Daniel Carroll, Mike Provencher and Yasel Gomez all drove in two runs.

Parise (3-2) pitched nine innings, allowing four runs on nine hits while fanning nine and walking one to earn the win. It was Parise's first career complete game, and the second of the season for a Saltdogs hurler.

Carroll and Provencher each hit triples, to double the Saltdogs team season total.

Ethan Cole (0-3) allowed four unearned runs in 1/3 of an inning of relief to suffer the loss.

The clubs are back at it Friday night at 7:05 p.m. for game two of a four-game series. Mike Burns (1-0, 6.35) will face Lucas Irvine (0-2, 3.70). Radio coverage begins at 6:35 p.m. on KFOR 1240.
