LINCOLN, NE – Saltdogs right-handed pitcher Mitch Stone’s contract was purchased on Friday, May 3rd, by the Minnesota Twins organization. 

The 23-year-old native of El Paso, Texas is a product of El Paso Community College and Grayson College located in Denison, Texas. 

From there he started his professional baseball career last summer with the Ogden Raptors of the Pioneer League where he captured a league championship with Lincoln’s new hitting coach Kash Beauchamp.  He posted a record of 4-5 with a 5.27 ERA through 118.1 innings pitched in 14 appearances, 13 of them being starts.   

The ‘Dogs will be in action for two exhibition games on Saturday and Sunday both starting at 1:05 p.m. at Haymarket Park.  Games are free to the general public.
