LINCOLN — The Saltdogs concluded exhibition play Saturday with a loss at Sioux City, the only blemish after winning their first four preseason games.
Lincoln defeated Kansas City 8-6 May 7 down at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. The 'Dogs then dispatched Sioux City 4-2 May 9 at Haymarket Park.
On May 10 the Saltdogs took the crown at the Border Wars tournament at Haymarket, defeating Kansas City 4-3 and Wichita 7-6 in seven-inning contests.
The Explorers got the best of the 'Dogs Saturday at Lewis and Clark Park by a final of 13-1.
Lincoln will work out at Haymarket Park Monday through Wednesday before opening up the regular season May 16 at Gary SouthShore.
