LINCOLN — Robby Kuzdale homered and delivered a walk-off single as the Saltdogs (28-22) beat the Texas AirHogs (20-31) 5-4 in front of 2,899 fans at Haymarket Park Monday night.
The Saltdogs have now won five in a row, and 10 of 12, and lead the Central division by two games over Gary.
Dainer Moreira lead off the bottom of the ninth with a single to right and was sacrificed into scoring position by Dan Hennigan.
Kuzdale roped a 3-1 fastball to left center to give Lincoln its second straight walk-off win at home.
Kuzdale launched a two-run homer in the third, his fourth, to tie the game at 2-2.
Luis Alen’s solo homer in the fourth tied the game at 4-4.
Austin Darby gave the Saltdogs the lead on his second double of the game in the sixth before Texas pulled even in the seventh.
Evan Reed (1-1) pitched a perfect ninth and got the win.
On his 27th birthday, Brad Orosey threw a perfect seventh but allowed one of two inherited runners to score for the first time this season (19 of 20 stranded).
The series continues Tuesday night at 6:35 p.m. RHP Casey Barnes is expected to face LHP Griffin Russell.
