LINCOLN — The Saltdogs swept the league's weekly awards for the week ending June 1, as 1B Ian Gac (left) was named Pointstreak Player of the Week and RHP Marquis Fleming was named Pointstreak Pitcher of the Week. Pointstreak is the official statistician of the American Association.

In seven games, Gac went 13-24 (.542) with four home runs, eight RBI, three doubles, and six runs scored. Gac's monster week has ascended him to the top four in the American Association in home runs (2nd, 5); batting average (4th, .382); runs (4th, 15); hits (t-4th, 26); total bases (2nd, 48); extra-base hits (3rd, 12); on-base percentage (3rd, .456) and slugging percentage (3rd, .706).

The 28-year old slugger from Bellevue, Wash. hit 18 home runs with 63 RBI for Lincoln in just 60 games in 2013, posting the second-highest slugging percentage in franchise history. This is Gac's second career Pointstreak Player of the Week award (week ending May 26, 2013).

Fleming went 2-0 in two starts last week, totaling 14 innings, while allowing just one run on seven hits, striking out 15 and walking four. The 27-year old hurler from Oakland, Calif. spun a two-hit shutout with eight strikeouts and one walk in the seven-inning first game of a double header May 27 at Haymarket Park.
