SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Three costly errors by Sioux City infielders allowed Matt Forgatch and Mike Coles to show off their power en route to a 6-2 Saltdogs (38-35) win over the Explorers (27-45) Friday night in front of 1,087 fans at Lewis and Clark Park.

X’s third-baseman Bryan Pounds booted a ground ball off the bat of Sean O’Connell to lead off the third inning. Two batters later, Mike Coles belted his second home run of the season to give the Dogs an early 2-0 lead.
