LINCOLN, Nebraska – Ryan Long had two hits – including a game-tying single in the 6th – and the Lincoln Saltdogs rallied to beat the Kane County Cougars 4-3 at Haymarket Park on Saturday night.

Long’s two-out, two-run single tied the game before Lincoln (12-10) took the lead with Edgar Corcino’s sacrifice fly in the 8th. The ‘Dogs have won three straight for the first time this year and Saturday marked their third come-from-behind win.

Kane County (9-13) took the lead on Jeffrey Baez’s sacrifice fly in the 1st, and Luis Roman made it 2-0 with an RBI single in the 4th.

Josh Altmann hit Lincoln’s second triple of the year in the home 4th and later scored on David Vidal’s RBI groundout.

Kane County restored the two-run lead on Baez’s run-scoring hit in the 5th, but Long came through to tie the game with the bases loaded in the 6th.

Greg Minier earned his first win with three scoreless innings in relief, while Logan Lombana tossed a 1-2-3 9th for his first save. Kyle Kinman allowed three runs – two earned – over five innings in his fifth start of the year.

Christian DeLeon – a former Husker – took his first loss of the year when he allowed the go-ahead run in the 8th.

Forrestt Allday extended his hitting streak to seven games, while Curt Smith walked twice. Justin Byrd also had a walk and a double.
