LINCOLN, Nebraska – Ryan Long hit a walk-off home run with two outs in the 10th inning, and the Saltdogs beat the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 2-1 at Haymarket Park on Sunday afternoon.

Long’s homer gave Lincoln (24-24) its second walk-off win of the year, and the ‘Dogs took two of three from the RedHawks (27-23) after losing the first game Friday night.

John Richy allowed just one run over seven innings with six hits, no walks and three strikeouts – tied for Lincoln’s longest start in a game this year.

The ‘Dogs took a lead on a bases-loaded walk to Yanio Perez in the 3rd inning before Jordan George tied the game with an RBI double in the 4th.

James Pugliese earned his second win of the year with two shutout innings in the 9th and 10th, while Tyler Anderson pitched a scoreless 8th.

Justin Byrd had his third consecutive multi-hit game with two singles in the leadoff spot, while Long had two more hits in his second game back from a three-game absence with a minor hamstring issue.

The ‘Dogs walked nine times – just two shy of their season high – and improved to 6-3 against the North Division this year.

Lincoln will now head on the road for seven games, starting with a four-game series over three days against the Winnipeg Goldeyes in Jackson, Tennessee – the temporary home of the Winnipeg franchise while the border remains closed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

First pitch time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. from Jackson, and pregame coverage will begin at 6:05 on ESPN Lincoln 101.5 FM/1480 AM.
