LINCOLN — The Saltdogs are pleased to announce their 2013 game schedule, which gets underway May 16 at Gary and opens at Haymarket Park May 23 against the defending champion Winnipeg Goldeyes.

The ‘Dogs will be home for the Fourth of July for the first time in several years, hosting Fargo-Moorhead in the midst of a four-game series.

For the opening homestand of 2013, Winnipeg will be in Lincoln from May 23-26 before former Lincoln skipper Tim Johnson leads his El Paso Diablos to the friendly confines from May 27-29.

2013’s home slate at Haymarket Park features nine Friday night games, and figures to be another fun-packed summer for the entire family.

The 100-game American Association regular season will see the Saltdogs travel to Amarillo for the first time in franchise history July 10-14.

Lincoln is set to host still to be determined Can-Am league clubs in separate three-game home sets in July and August, but will not travel to the east coast as they did to wrap up the 2012 season.

The Saltdogs conclude the 2013 slate with a three-game series ending September 2 in Grand Prairie, against the 2011 American Association champion AirHogs.
