WINNIPEG, Manitoba – Josh Altmann hit a two-run homer, but the ‘Dogs gave up a run in the 7th and 8th innings of a 7-5 loss to the Winnipeg Goldeyes at Shaw Park on Friday night.

Altmann’s homer gave the Lincoln (17-13) a 2-1 lead in the 4th inning. Winnipeg (16-15) took a 5-2 lead when Deon Stafford Jr. hit a grand slam in the 6th inning, but Randy Norris hit a two-run single before Ryan Long’s RBI single tied the game in the 7th.

Raul Navarro led off the bottom of the 7th and hit a line drive over Randy Norris’s head that resulted in a go-ahead, inside-the-park home run, and Kevin Lachance added to the lead with a solo homer in the 8th.

Greg Minier allowed five runs – four earned – over six innings, while David Zoz took the first loss of his Saltdogs career after allowing the 7th-inning run. Jonathan Cheshire gave up one run in one inning, and the ‘Dogs lost a third consecutive game for only the second time this year.
