FRANKLIN, Wisconsin – LHP Tanner Brown allowed one run over six innings, but the ‘Dogs were walked-off in the 11th inning of a 6-5 loss to the Milwaukee Milkmen at Franklin Field on Wednesday night.

Brown posted a quality start but didn’t factor into the decision after the ‘Dogs lost two-run leads in both the 9th and 11th innings.

Lincoln (32-31) opened the scoring on a solo homer from SS Drew Devine in the 1st. Later in the inning, DH Yanio Perez added a run on an RBI single.

Milwaukee (39-24) got a run back in the 1st when 3B Miguel Gomez hit a two-out RBI double. That was the only run allowed by Brown across six innings, scattering five hits with one walk and seven strikeouts.

Lincoln extended the lead on an RBI single from C Luke Roskam in the 4th inning. Roskam went 3-for-6 and has now reached safely in 29 straight games – the longest active streak in the league this year.

Freure struck out five batters across two scoreless innings in the 7th and 8th inning, but RHP Devin Conn – who had not allowed a run in eight appearances to begin his ‘Dogs career – allowed two in the 9th. Milwaukee got within one on an RBI single from LF Aaron Hill before 2B Bryan Torres tied the game with a two-out, two-strike RBI single.

Neither team scored in the 10th inning, and LHP Steffon Moore retired all three he faced after RHP Peyton Gray struck out all three ‘Dogs he faced.

Lincoln regained the lead in the 11th. Perez hit a two-out RBI double to score Devine before 1B Will Kengor scored Perez with an RBI single. Lincoln carried a 5-3 lead into the bottom half of the inning.

Milwaukee won it with three off of Moore in the 11th. SS Gabriel Cancel made it 5-4 with a leadoff RBI double before Hill walked. After a wild pitch advanced both runners into scoring position, DH Cam Redding won the game with a two-run single.
