SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The Saltdogs (14-11) hit the baker's dozen mark on 20 hits in a 13-4 victory over the Sioux Falls Canaries (11-15) in front of 3,335 fans at The Birdcage Tuesday night.
 
Lincoln scored six runs on six hits in the third inning to take an early 9-0 lead. Sioux Falls went on to score the next four but the 'Dogs finished the final two frames with four more of their own.
 
Seven of the nine Lincoln hitters turned in multiple-hit performances. Matt Forgatch and Tyler Goodro each had four hits. Jeremy Mayo had three base knocks. Mike Provencher, Stephen Douglas and David Espinosa all hit home runs.
 
Eddie McKiernan (3-1) pitched four innings of relief, allowing just one run while striking out six to earn the victory. Austin Brough (0-2) surrendered nine runs in five innings to take the loss.
 
Goodro and Provencher each had four RBI and Forgatch scored four runs and stole three bases in addition to his four hits.
 
The Saltdogs set season highs in runs, hits, and tied a season-high with three long balls.
 
Nate Baumann hit two home runs for Sioux Falls in a losing effort.
