LINCOLN, NE – Offense was the story in the series finale but Cleburne had just a little bit more at the dish as they took game four against the Saltdogs 10-8 in five innings.
C Logan Williams made his Lincoln Saltdogs (5-5) debut starting at catcher and he hit a two-run homer in his second plate appearance after spending the first nine games on the injured list.
INF Drew Devine reached base three times on an error, a single, and a two-run double that was part of a five-run second inning for Lincoln.
OF Aaron Takacs continued his hot streak at the plate knocking in two RBIs with a single in the second inning, and Devine also knocked in a pair in the second with a double, he reached three times on the afternoon.
Cleburne’s offense finally came alive for the first time all season scoring 10 runs outlast what the Saltdogs were doing on the other side. The game started one hour and 42 minutes later than regularly scheduled and then another delay that would eventually end the game came in the bottom of the sixth inning.
The Saltdogs open up a three-game set with the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks tomorrow at Haymarket Park at 11:05 a.m. streaming on aabaseball.tv only.
