FARGO, North Dakota – RF Connor Panas hit two homers – including a grand slam – with a season-high six RBIs and the ‘Dogs beat the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 10-1 at Newman Outdoor Field on Wednesday night.

Panas had his first multi-homer game as a Saltdog and Lincoln’s first six-RBI game since Luke Roskam had six RBIs at Sioux Falls on August 30, 2022.

Panas gave the ‘Dogs (41-41) a lead with a homer on the third pitch of the game – his first since July 25th at Milwaukee.

Lincoln had a 1-0 lead until the RedHawks (39-43) manufactured a run in the 3rd inning. With runners on the corners and nobody out, LHP John Bezdicek struck out 2B Peter Brookshaw for the first out of the inning while RF Nick Novak was trying to steal second. After Novak was thrown out by C Luke Roskam, SS Sam Dexter scored from third on a fielder’s choice on the same play.

The game remained tied until the 7th inning. Lincoln worked four consecutive walks to open the inning, with SS Drew Devine drawing a bases-loaded walk to make it 2-1. Panas then hit a grand slam – his second of the year – to make it 6-1.

Lincoln added a run on Devine’s RBI double in the 8th inning and the ‘Dogs scored three more off of position player Mike Falsetti in the 9th inning.

Bezdicek struck out a season-high seven over five innings, while RHP Carter Hope pitched two scoreless innings. RHP Matt Cronin pitched a scoreless 8th and RHP Walter Borkovich tossed a scoreless 9th inning.

3B Will Kengor tied a franchise record with four walks while Roskam went 1-for-5 to extend his league-leading on-base streak to 45.
