WINNIPEG, Man. — The Saltdogs (20-15) split a pair of decisions with the Winnipeg Goldeyes (18-16) in front of 5,984 fans at Shaw Park Friday night, winning the first game 3-2 but falling in the nightcap by a final of 4-3.
 
Moises Melendez (2-0) pitched five innings, allowing two runs on five hits to earn the victory in the first game for Lincoln. Matt Forgatch drove in the winning run on a sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth.
 
R.J. Rodriguez pitched a perfect seventh to earn his 13th save in 13th chances so far in 2013.
 
In game two, Winnipeg scored all four of its runs with two outs in the bottom of the second, highlighted by a Amos Ramon three-run triple.
 
Pete Gehle (2-1) allowed two runs in 5 1/3 innings to earn the win. Matt Bywater (2-2) surrendered five in five frames to suffer the loss.
 
Mike Provencher went 2-for-3 with a home run and a double in a losing effort for the 'Dogs.
 
Daniel Carroll stole three bases combined in the double header.
