RAMAPO, N.Y. — The Rockland Boulders (47-51) slugged three home runs and went on to defeat the Saltdogs (40-58) 10-4 at Provident Bank Park Saturday night.

Boulders scored five in the bottom of the first and held a 7-1 lead through three innings.

Dan Jurik (5-4) pitched 3 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on two hits while walking five and striking out six to earn the win. Tony Butler (3-7) surrendered seven runs on nine hits in 2 2/3 innings to take the loss.

Travis Parker was impressive in relief for the ‘Dogs, tossing four innings while allowing just one earned run.

The clubs are back at it Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. for game two of the season-ending three-game series. Radio coverage begins at 3:35 p.m. on KFOR 1240.
