LINCOLN — The Kansas City T-Bones (28-19) racked up 19 hits, and handed Lincoln (21-31) its most lopsided defeat of the season in a 11-2 laugher in front of 2,530 fans at Haymarket Park Thursday night.
Four different T-Bones hitters had three hits and three had a pair as Kansas City has outhit the Saltdogs 34-9 over the first two games of the series.
Bobby Doran (8-1) pitched seven innings, allowing a run on three hits to earn the win. Ryan Strufing (0-1) went five, allowing four runs on six hits while fanning six and walking four to suffer the loss.
Curt Smith went 2-for-4 with two doubles, a run and an RBI in the losing effort.
Kansas City scored three runs in the fourth to make it 4-0 and enjoyed a five-run ninth inning to put the Saltdogs out of their misery.
Lincoln has now dropped two straight after rattling off a six-game win streak.
